About

Her Unfolded Musings is an independent publication launched in May 2026 by Tricia Trix Johansson a.k.a Trix Joyce online.

After a lot of thoughts about starting my own combined newsletter and publication, Her Unfolded Musings was finally launched!

This publication aims to:

  • Publish articles weekly to fortnightly about philosophical thought, personal growth, spirituality, creativity, disability acceptance, lifelong learning and healthy productivity.
  • Send out newsletters once a month with mini articles, thoughts, freebies and creative outlets.

Who is behind this site?

My name is Tricia Marie Johansson, and I'm also called Trix (and my artist/music name is Tris Joyce) and I'ma 30-something years old queer multi-creative spiritual philosopher from Sweden. I live with my partner and our cat in Gothenburg.

Since about 5th grade I have always been in love with writing. I won a competition held in the entire Scandinavian countries which led to my first anthology contribution at age 15. I also contributed in three more anthologies by different publishers between 17-25 years old. I've self-published my own books and now I'm also writing online here on Her Unfolded Musings, but also on Medium.com and on Substack. You can find my poetry and fiction online as well (see links).

I want to build connection around blooming later in life. My niche has always been to write for people who either has been through trauma or want to understand it so that can help their loved ones in the same situation. Or simply being an ally.

My story contains a lot. I've been through childhood sexual assault, childhood physical and emotional abuse and neglect, hospitalization, children's care homes, and a lot of lonliness. So when I grew up a little I wanted to tell my story to help others feel less alone. I've been doing so on my YouTube channel for years and also through my music, visual art, and of course writing.

Other than online writing of articles, newsletters, web novels and poetry, I also write personal essays and academic papers in philosophy. You can find out more about it on the online writing page.

If you want to be part of this publication, feel free to sign up.
